BirchCamp
Terms of use
Last updated: 19 October 2026
These terms cover your use of BirchCamp, whether you read, reply or write. They are written to be read. By using the site you agree to them; if you do not, please do not use it.
The service
BirchCamp is a publishing platform where invited writers keep blogs that appear in a shared newsfeed, on topic pages called camps and on their own profiles. Reading is free and needs no account. “We” and “the BirchCamp team” mean the people who run the site.
Reading and replying
Anyone may read the site and reply to posts. Replies are reviewed before they appear, and we may decline or remove any reply. You are responsible for what you write in a reply, and you must follow the community guidelines. By posting a reply you allow us to display it next to the post for as long as the post stays up.
Writer accounts
Writer accounts are by invitation only; there is no public sign-up. An invitation lets you keep a blog here under these terms. Keep your sign-in details private and tell us through the contact page if you think someone else has used your account. We may withdraw an invitation and close a blog that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms or the guidelines.
Your content
Writers keep ownership of what they publish. By publishing on BirchCamp you give us permission to host, display and distribute your content, including through RSS feeds, for as long as it is on the site. You can ask us at any time to remove a post or your whole blog, and we will do so.
You are responsible for what you publish. Make sure you have the right to publish it, that it is not misleading, and that it follows the guidelines. Links in posts are ordinary links; you may link to your own website and to your sources.
Acceptable use
Do not try to break, overload or get around the site’s protections. That includes flooding the reply or contact forms, probing for security weaknesses and bulk scraping that slows the site for others. Feed readers and search engines doing their ordinary work are welcome.
Removing content
We may remove any post, reply or profile that breaks these terms or the guidelines, or that we are legally required to remove. Copyright complaints and reports go through the contact page, using the topics Copyright or Report a post or comment.
The site is provided “as is”
We work to keep BirchCamp available and reliable, but we provide it as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that the site will always be online, free of errors or suitable for a particular purpose. We may change, pause or discontinue any part of the service, or the whole service, at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the BirchCamp team is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, for content written by writers or by people who reply, or for websites that posts link to. Writers are responsible for their posts, and people who reply are responsible for their replies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
